After spending the past hour or more wrestling with algebra problems, relearning how to graph a line and figure its slope, I am kicking myself again for buying an Algebra course that came WITHOUT all the answers included.
I mean, really, is that even fair? When you buy a computer-based Algebra curriculum, shouldn’t it include ALL the answers? This one, Kinetic Algebra, looked so good at first. It has nice explanations, plenty of practice, and instant feedback. BUT every few lessons there is an end-of-unit problems section which only has answers for the odd problems. What a RIPOFF. So I can either pay another fee to get those answers, or I can do them myself.
So guess what I’m doing? Sigh.
Actually, it’s usually quite fun, because I love algebra. I’m weird that way. But this was a bit brain-bending, since I’m pretty sure I haven’t even looked at any such thing since high school AND it was 75 problems long. Sheesh.
So my productivity this day has consisted of two loads of laundry, school with the kids, TRYING to pay bills (Verizon’s website is a total disaster, and I am NOT paying a late fee because THEIR site doesn’t work, but that is a whole ‘nother story) and about 40 linear equations.
And I’m still not sure what’s for supper.
It must be Monday.
