Messiah?

I have to hope that this is satire.

If not, it is deeply disturbing.

The fact that someone would even think of it is nauseating.

About dayuntoday

I'm a wonderer. I spend a lot of time mulling, pondering, and cogitating. This is just a place to park some of those thoughts.

    I agree.  That is disgusting.

  2. I am sure it is a satire and meant to comical.  Everyone I know that voted for Obama thinks he is indeed the saviour of the United States.  With his rescinding the ban on abortion funding overseas, I always wonder how much people in power will be held accountable on the day of judgment.   What a shame.

  3. Wha…??  This took place less than 30 miles away from here and I didn’t hear about it??  That should tell you how much I don’t keep up on LOCAL news.  Donkey is a symbol of Democrat party.  That part doesn’t bother me.  BUT the part of “waived palm branches” really disturbed me!  Making a joke out of what took place about a week before Jesus’ cruification?  That’s going too far!  Made me all the more happy that I didn’t vote (never have)!!

Like I said ~ blows my mind that anyone would go this far ~ very scary ~

Seems like a pretty elaborate hoax.  It doesn’t surprise me people would do this.  If they were foolish enough to vote for this man, why wouldn’t they do this—or worse?

  6. Weird is the only thing that comes to mind.  But, I must admit that if this is satire, I just don’t get it.  If it’s not, it’s a reminder to hold fast to the TRUTH.

I thought it was possible that these people were making fun of how much Obama has been touted, and how much people are expecting from him, but it’s really poor taste, whatever it is!@mjh905 – Too bad you didn’t know about it so you could go and report back to us whether people were laughing or serious!

How very sad!  Either way, it’s sickening.  Hmm.  I just noticed that you’re reading The Shack.  Will you be giving us a commentary when you’re finished?  I have yet to read it, but have heard much about it.  I’m enjoying your music so much that I’m going to leave this page open for awhile.

  9. homefire says:

@deyoderized – Glad you like the music!    About the Shack…I haven’t gotten very far, so can’t form my own opinion.  I, too, have heard a lot about it–both very good and very bad–so I’m interested to see how it strikes me.  Right now, I’ve set it aside to read Velvet Elvis, since I have that for a very limited time.  I guess it’s my season for controversial books!

Hmmm. I’m not sure what to make of that. It isn’t a good sign, whatever it was meant to convey.

  11. gsmith03 says:

It looks like it’s a doll or something.  It seemed like in every picture, Obama had the exact same pose.  Besides, I am pretty sure Barack Obama was in Washington, DC on January 19, 2009 (rehearsing the inauguration ceremony with Chief Justice Roberts).

  12. homefire says:

@gsmith03 – Yes, the article mentioned the “image” so I’m pretty sure it wasn’t actually him.  Should have made that clear, I guess.  I chuckled at your last line!

  13. gsmith03 says:

@homefire – Lol.  Yeah, even with all that rehearsing they still couldn’t get it right!

  14. I’d bet anything it’s serious.
