How’s That Again?

A bit from an article I just read:

The Kenyan government has barred unapproved contacts between the media and President-elect Barack Obama’s extended family.

Family members will be required to receive permission from the government before making any public statements about their famous relative, according to the Nairobi Star.

“We are doing this because we want to ensure better flow of information,” Athman Said, an under-secretary in the Ministry of Heritage, told the Obama family in Kogelo.

Does anyone besides me find that line amusing?

I'm a wonderer. I spend a lot of time mulling, pondering, and cogitating. This is just a place to park some of those thoughts.

Maybe the line should be, “We are doing this because we want to ensure better perpetuation of lies”.

@Hecalmsthestorm – or “better stoppage of information…”  Reminds me of the doublespeak in Animal Farm.

Yeah the Bush family is a lot better at keeping secret the fact that they keep secrets. I guess when you been rich for decades you get the benefit of experience to add to your spin control. If this was really a press release by the administration then it was a bad idea. But in the the end I guess it doesn’t matter. Republican Christians are going to demonize the man at every possible chance for the next four years. If I were advising him I’d tell him to open himself up to it. It’s pretty obvious people are getting tired of it. Such nasty tactics would only shift public opinion away from their creators and garantee a reelection in 12.

Actually rereading the post I see this was a work of the Kenyan government. That makes more sense. Kenya is a pretty nasty country, and RC’s are going to try to link O to them as much as possible. It’s already started with this nonsense about O supposedly being born in Kenya.Like I said: Let the Republican Christians attack for the next four years. It’ll backfire on them, I’ll guarantee it. People are sick of the viciousness.
