What a glorious day!  It was so lovely that I decided PE was probably the most vital subject today.  Goodness knows, it’s been neglected for a long time.  So we had a very long recess.  We played three square, which I lost miserably, and then they ran around and bicycled and scootered and hooted and hollered and pretty much acted like kids who’d been cooped up all winter.  It was very good.  I even got some windows washed, which definitely needed to be done.  And I saw our very first flower!  Now that means spring!

Amazingly, even with sleeping late and much playtime, we did manage to get all our schoolwork finished.  And this evening we went to some friends’ house for supper, so I didn’t even have to cook.  A lovely carefree day!

About dayuntoday

I'm a wonderer. I spend a lot of time mulling, pondering, and cogitating. This is just a place to park some of those thoughts.

I love blue flowers.  Is it pushing up through pine needles?

  6. maybe it’s because we are kids that have been cooped up all winter? :giggle:
we pushed school to the side on friday…but it’s because momma wasn’t feeling well…so i rested.  and unfortunately…we’re so terribly behind w/ lessons that i’ve decided i will no longer fret about it.  we will just do what we can!
